The support team leaves, expertise for the massive changes that the postpartum body goes through is difficult to find and costly and the focus shifts instantly to the wellbeing of the baby.

Life goes on….

To most mothers, this is the narrative that is being portrait and conflicts the reality of the first months postpartum. But how can life go on, if this is a new life that you just learning to live? The fourth trimester is the last stage of the pregnancy when, if all goes well, the mother and baby goes through these physical, psychological and emotional changes in rapid speed. This exterogestation has profound impact and needs the right care and sometimes expertise.

The Postnatal rEvolution collective is trying to address our concerns and speaks from the mother’s experience. She is in need for a safe space to rest and nurture. She needs to be fed healthy food and guided by loving presence of her peers. She needs to access special support easily and affordable. And when the new live is settled and she and her partner go back to work, she needs understanding and flexibility at work to deal with the reality of being a partner to a young family.
